Pricing
Planned launch fees:
Free RSVP has no MEL ticket fee.
Standard paid tickets have a 2.5% MEL fee on the discounted ticket amount, including GST.
Eligible merchandise and add-ons have a separate 3% GST-inclusive MEL fee.
Organisers absorb MEL and their actual Stripe processing costs from sale proceeds.
Buyers pay the displayed all-in price without an added card surcharge or additional MEL booking fee. Organisers may set their price to cover costs.
Ticket tax treatment and organiser GST status remain separate.
Paid checkout availability will be confirmed before you commit.

What happens after I apply?
The MEL team reviews your event details. If your event looks suitable for the soft launch, we will contact you to discuss timing, ticketing and the support you need before confirming participation.
Can I run a free event?
Free RSVP events have no MEL ticket fee. Soft-launch participation is subject to approval.
Can I sell paid tickets?
Tell us what you need when you apply. We will confirm paid checkout availability and the applicable fees before you commit. Paid-event organisers connect their own Stripe account; Stripe processing costs are separate from MEL fees.
Does applying guarantee a place?
No. Places depend on the event's timing and requirements matching what is ready for the soft launch.
